Responses to the questions could be provided by reviewing the new reference books, articles and creditable websites. Farsi lecture lasts for 20 minutes and the English lecture lasts for 5 minutes. Maximum number of slides is 40 for the Farsi section and 10 for the English section. Slides must be provided in the formal format, and promotions could be incorporated into the texts and topics of the lectures by consulting all the professors.
Tip: English presentation is optional and voluntary participation in this section accounts for an additional one point.
Total score would be calculated out of 20.
A) Lecture and presentation account for 12 points, as follows:
1. Scientific content and originality (2 points)
2. Selection of new and appropriate references (2 points)
3. Quality of seminar presentation (organization, calmness, expression and clarity) (2 points)
4. Providing suitable responses the questions posed in the seminar title (2 points)
5. Quality and number of slides proportionate to the allocated time (1 point)
6. Proper use of images, tables and other complementary items for better presentation (1 point)
7. Responding to the questions after the seminar (2 points)
Tip: The final version of the presentation will be prepared after the seminar (2003 saved) and sent to the office of Ms. Fatemeh Firouzi.
Not observing this tip will lead to the reduction of 0.5 point.
B) Providing the seminar abstract in Farsi has 2 points;
C) Providing the seminar abstract in English has 2 points;
D) Providing a simplified pamphlet based on the study results for patients has 2 points
The electronic file and hard copy of the English and Persian abstracts and the pamphlet must be sent to the office of Ms. Fatemeh Firouzi within two days before presenting the seminar (no need for reference to the professor). The abstracts will be corrected by the professor and returned to the students to observe the mistakes. After submitting the delivery date by the secretary of the department, delay per each day leads to the reduction of half a point from the total score. Presentation on the day of the seminar accounts for one point, and no scores will be recorded after the seminar. Total correspondence between the abstracts and presented materials must be observed. Sending the files to the professors via email will reduce the score.
Hall coordination, invitation of all department members to the seminar and installing notices is upon the student, which could be done through the head of the department. Evidently, other students at different departments of the faculty could be properly informed on the seminars.
D) Persistent attendance and active participation in class discussions constitute 2 points. Unreasonable absence leads to course removal, and each session of absence reduces the total score by 0.5.
It should be noted that all the faculty members and students at the department will attend the seminar, and the question-and-answer sessions lasts for five minutes. Average score considered by the professors will be determined for the students.
