Overall Objective:

The overall objective of the course is to familiarize students with water as a main source of storage and disease transmission to human.

Specific Objectives:

By the end of the course, students are expected to:

  • Describe the sources of water pollution
  • Explain about different pathogens and diseases transmitted through water.
  • Describe the tests used to evaluate water quality
  • Demonstrate the microbial tests of water quality and health control
  • Describe the methods of water refinery
